Lectra SA was founded in 1973 and is based in France. It helps companies turn a design into something that can actually be manufactured, whether that is a jacket, a sofa or a car seat. Fabric looks forgiving until somebody has to pay for the offcuts.

The group sells design and patternmaking software, connected cutting equipment, data services and support. Modaris helps fashion teams develop patterns and check garments digitally. Cutting systems then work with physical materials. The wider portfolio links design, production planning and market information, with both equipment sales and recurring software and service income.
